Is Citylinx only for large city & streetlight control projects ?
Absolutely not! Citylinx is a packaged, ready-to-use cloud platform (also available on-premise) which is proposed by our resellers to many small to mid-size cities. Out of the 300+ cities where Citylinx is in action, the vast majority is composed of small to mid-size cities actually, which benefit from outdoor lighting control, parking management, building energy efficiency and more Citylinx-based applications.
How different is Citylinx from vendor-proprietary CMS?
First, it is difficult for vendor-proprietary CMS to support outdoor luminaire controllers from competing suppliers, while Citylinx is independent and does not compete with them. As a result, we support all of them within one software! Then, they tend to be limited to supporting the features from their own hardware. Citylinx supports all the outdoor luminaire controllers on the market and many other device types, thanks to a full TALQ implementation and a massive test & qualification plan. We have projects in production with 22 lighting suppliers including Signify, Schréder, Paradox Engineering, Flashnet, Itron, Obiwan, Citylone, Nexiode and many others.
